Books

While the core aim of this site will always be to look at movies themselves, it should be obvious from my writing that engaging with the debates that surround and contextualise films is very important to me. I read a lot of film books, including both academic and general texts, and I thought I'd add some capsule reviews of interesting ones to the page. Like my choice of film reviews, the choice will be eclectic, including looks at selected older books from my collection and also ones I've just read.

For an interactive store with a range of titles that I recommend, provided through Amazon, you can click here, or on any of the titles below. You can purchase any of the books reviewed or shown on this page through this link (as well as pretty much any other book or DVD you like), and doing so will support Cinephobia. Please note that all prices in the store are in US dollars.
